ALC News: Choose Growth. One Choice. One Day. One Goal at a Time.

Our goals:

• Conduct at least one community engagement activity each quarter for students and families.

• Promote a positive image of the ALC through effective weekly use of digital publications.

• Maintain a 95% annual attendance rate for students and staff.

• Celebrate student growth while using assessments to monitor learning, identify needs, and provide targeted support.

Celebrations:

• Students completed 27 classes.

• 67% of students had perfect attendance.

• 100% of teachers had perfect attendance.

• Countless positive relationships were started.

• Students are engaged, working hard and being held accountable.

Opportunities for growth:

• Begin each day focused on individual goals.

• A new goal sheet was created using teacher and student feedback and will be reviewed Monday.

• Students must report to homeroom so their daily progress can be tracked and any need for homework or adjusted pacing can be determined.

Looking ahead:

• Monday: Fire drill during third hour

• Tuesday: Tornado drill during sixth hour

• Thursday: Football-themed pajama day for everyone

• A surprise attendance day may also be coming soon!
